AGASTHAYA VILASAM OUSHADHASALA
The A.V Oushadhasala (Agasthya Vilasam Oushadhasala ) was stared in village Thattarukonam in Kollam district Of Kerala State in 1945 by the visionary physician and philanthropist , the Late Vidyan.Sarvashri. R .Raghvan Pillai. Initially his vision was to establish an institution were the Ayurvedic and Sidha formulations are used at different stages of chronic diseases of elderly as well as pediatric diseases. For the fulfillment of his vision he got all round support from his family members especially from his Wife Late.Smt . Janaki Amma , who sent him to study Visha vaidya from other Vaidyas practicing nearby states and to Government Ayurveda College Thiruvanathapuram from where he got Visha Visharadh Certificate , without putting any burden of family in his shoulder. Later in his life the Vaidyan himself declare that all that what he achieved is because of his wife support.
Started his first clinic in the Village Thattarukonam near the famous Kalkulam temple after getting the Grant In Aid from the Government
1945For the Shudhi Kramas of Sidha Medicines and Preparation of good quality Ayurvedic Yogas as per the classical Texts for his practice He started a Vaidyasala back to his clinic.
1950His Elder son Late .Dr .Kochukrishna pillai , after completing his graduation in Ayurvedic Science from the Governmnt Ayurveda College , Thiruvananthapuram Joined him
1965Gained The Drug manufacturing License and started to manufacture Medicine for commercial; Purpose.
1975Because of Old aged problems he made his Fourth Son. Late . Shri.R. Neelakanda Pillai Vaidya as his successor the new Managing Partner Of A.V. Oushadhasala. 1998. The company started to manufacture and market to all parts of South Kerala and Southern Parts Of Tamil Nadu
1993As the Demand of the Medicines are getting high and due to some labor issues, a new Manufacturing Units was started at Thirumala Kovil Adivaram, near Schencottah in Tamil Nadu 2017. After the sad demise of Shri. R. Neelakanda Pillai Vaidyar The company is at present managed By his wife , Smt. Jaghadhamma Pillai and his son Dr.Nikhil.N. B.A.M.S (Managing Partner) and other family members.
2005The company is at present having 200 Plus agencies in south Kerala and South Tamil Nadu, Steadily supplying medicines to 100 plus Ayurvedic Hospitals. The company is manufacturing nearly 250 Plus Classical Kashaya Yogams , 50 Plus Arishtasava Yogams, 250 Plus Lehyams, 200 Plus Churnams, 50 Plus Ghruthams, 150 Plus Thylam Yogams, 50 Yogas and Special yogams for for Panchakarma Purpose and Proprietary Medicines . The company at present took initiative for developing its present R & D wing with sophisticated equipments for the standardization of Raw Materials and finished Products. The company started t a new Herbal garden in the nearby Village with a view of producing good quality raw green drugs for its manufacturing purpose. The company stared its own Distribution center in the name A.V. Pharmacy & Trade Links for the effective and easy distribution to customers which is at present functioning effectively with good customer care services.
